The church of San Lorenzo is the perfect setting for your Yes
Imagine the groom at the altar eagerly waiting for his wife-to-be, the church festively decorated and filled with friends and family all looking forward to celebrating the happiest day of your life.
The Church of San Lorenzo is the perfect location to realize your fairytale wedding. Simple but rich in history, the church dates back to medieval times: it was built in the middle of 1200 and then restored in 1926 by Count Walfredo della Gherardesca, making it more hospitable but preserving its ancient atmosphere.
The facade is hut-shaped, the entrance preceded by an arch carved in the wall which has on the key brick the coat of arms of della Gherardesca. Inside the church, the walls are partially frescoed and there is a cozy wooden beam ceiling.
The bell tower is aside, it was built between 1929 and 1931 in neo-medieval style by Count Walfredo della Gherardesca with stones from the ruins of the castle of Donoratico.
